If you have an apple and I have an apple, and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea, and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.

But is it better?

News can be misunderstood when it is provided without commentary. I used to think it can be unbiased, however, I have lost that niave thought. There were two news items this week that were left out as signs of an improving economy. First, I heard the radio news report that there are going to brought 1200 jobs opening in Overland Park. Good news? The job as bill collectors will pay up to $30000 USD. Is that a growing industry? What happens when they run out of clients as they must?

Second. Our trade imbalance improved because we are buying less. Not that we are shipping more. That is a downward improvement.

Let's continue to seek a manufacturing society. If you learn of new home grown products, patronize them and share the name with us with a post.
